Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 241 primarily changes the eligibility criteria for the new school psychologist loan program. Originally, the program included several levels of students, but now it specifically targets graduate students pursuing a career in school psychology. Additionally, the amendment removed provisions regarding the financial appropriation process and adjusted how the funding request will be included in future budget planning. These changes streamline the focus of the program and clarify funding expectations, which could help better address the shortage of school psychologists in certain areas.
