Plain-language change summary

The amended bill changes the designation from naming a portion of County Road 17 to naming bridge number 10-017/00-001.40, now known as the Arbuckle Creek Bridge, as the “U.S. Army CPL John D. Doyle, Sr. Memorial Bridge.” This change is significant because it honors CPL John D. Doyle's legacy with a prominent and lasting tribute associated with a major structure, rather than just a stretch of road. Additionally, the resolution provides more historical context about Doyle's life and service during World War II, helping to ensure his contributions are remembered.
