Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Assembly Bill 388 introduces a loan program specifically designed for child care centers, allowing licensed providers to receive funding for renovations. Key updates include provisions that ensure 60% of the loans go to in-home child care providers while 40% will be designated for others, with maximum loan amounts of $30,000 and $100,000 respectively. Additionally, these loans will be interest-free, but in-home providers mustshow they have maintained or established enrollment in their facilities within a year to keep the funding.
