Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 774 allows government employees and certain permit holders to check submerged body-gripping traps every 72 hours instead of more frequently. It also enables the use of remote technology for trap checks, which could make the process more efficient and humane. This change is important as it balances the needs of trappers with animal welfare considerations while potentially easing the burden of regular inspections.
