Oppose DE SB 163
I stand with the Firearms Policy Coalition and oppose SB 163. This bill would ban about 60 specific makes and models of semi-automatic rifles and handguns, along with so-called "copycat" weapons" that are defined by features such as folding stocks, flash suppressors, and grenade launchers. SB 163 is extremely unconstitutional and is based on severe misconceptions. The bill's author wrongly claims that this "category" of weapons is used disproportionately to their ownership in mass shootings and murders of police. He also claims that the differences between these firearms and their automatic counterparts are slight. These claims are ridiculous and factually baseless. I urge you to vote NO on SB 163.
