Support CA AB 1931
I stand with the Firearms Policy Coalition and support AB 1931. AB 1931 is a common-sense measure to make a standard California license to carry (CCW) valid for a 5-year period, harmonize all residency-based CCW types, and promote equality of the laws. And since the California Department of Justice (DOJ) places CCW licensees into the RAP Back system, this makes sense. The Rap Back system provides DOJ and licensing agencies with notification of criminal activity and, in limited cases, of civil activity, that occurs after the initial processing and retention of criminal or civil transactions. This measure would not change criminal activity monitoring or affect public safety, but it would promote equality and fairness, and reduce unnecessary waste based on outdated laws. I urge you to vote yes on AB 1931.
