Comcast: Stop Selling Racist, Sexual Exploitation
Why is your brand endorsing racism and sexual exploitation? I've learned that Comcast is selling exploitive material through its Xfinity on-demand videos, and premium channel services. Please publically change your policy to sell this material immediately. Comcast has defended hardcore sexual videos depicting themes of racism, sexism, incest, and more as a benefit to "customer choice." This is an outrage, and swift action should be taken to remove all of these videos and channels, which is inherently sexually exploitive and anti-woman. Moreover, the pornographic material being distributed by Comcast Xfinity likely violates U.S. law, 18 U.S. Code Section 1468, which prohibits distribution of obscene matter by means of cable or subscription services on television. Your brand is being associated with these themes, and I now have a lowered interest in your company as a result. Companies like Hilton Worldwide, Overstock.com, and Hyatt Hotels Corporation have all moved to eliminate explicit material from their business model. Will Comcast be the leader in the telecommunications industry and get rid of this sexually exploitive content? Please act today to publicly change your policy and offerings.
