OPPOSE IL HB 4120
I am a supporter of Firearms Policy Coalition and I write to you today to oppose HB 4120. HB 4120 attempts to legislate out of the newspapers by banning "bump-stocks". However, it defines them as a butt stock that, using the force of recoil, can make a firearm "achieve" the same "rate of fire" as a fully automatic firearm. It does not set the parameters of "rate of fire". This implies that "achieving" the same "rate of fire" as ANY fully automatic may put gun owners in criminal jeopardy, who never intended to possess a "bump-stock". This may very well be "achieved" with any standard stock attached or many other parts, devices and techniques. This measure is too broad, too vague and needs to be rejected. I urge you to oppose this measure.
