Support Increased Investment for Child Care and Early Learning!


We support the Legislature’s proposed investment in child care and early education including: 

1) Increasing the number of children ages 0-5 served, with more full-day option and expanded eligibility, 
2) Updating the Standard Reimbursement Rate (SRR) and the Regional Market Rate (RMR), 
3) Expanding professional development opportunities for the workforce, and
4) Ensuring the health and safety of children by supporting annual inspections in licensed child care facilities.

We urge you to include funding for these critical services in the 2014-15 budget!  By making high quality child care and development programs for children ages 0-5 more accessible, you are fostering healthy child development and school success.
