I am writing as your constitute to urge you to vote in favor of the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act. The bill will modernize the way chemical testing is carried out in the U.S. by following the recommendation of the National Academy of Sciences 2007 report to reduce reliance on outdated animal tests and shift to modern, human-relevant test methods. The bill is supported by many prominent groups, such as the Environmental Defense Fund, the Humane Society of the United States and the Consumer Specialty Products Association. It will help to align the U.S. with chemical testing policies in the EU and other advanced nations. I urge you to support this important bill. Thank you.
