Lower Illinois' Excessive LLC Fees and Call SB867 for Concurrence

Illinois has among the highest LLC fees in the nation.  These high fees, including the initial filing and annual renewal fees, hurt small businesses and perpetuate the perception Illinois is a bad place to do business.  For the first time, legislation lowering these excessive fees was passed out of the Illinois House without opposition.  Due to an amendment, the Senate must call the bill for concurrence to agree with the changes made in the House.

Senator Cullerton is the chief sponsor of the bill and must call the bill for concurrence.  He has partnered with us in the past and supported our efforts to empower the small business community.  Springfield is in turmoil right now and certainly, fighting to end the budget impasse is our first priority.  However, as new tax incentives have been recently introduced that focus on larger enterprises, we want to make sure this important small business centric legislation does not fall through the tacks.    Please consider helping our efforts and sending the following message to Senator Cullerton.
