Bomke SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

ILCS 5/155.42 new Amends the Illinois Insurance Code.

Requires the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to develop an appropriate consumer fact sheet to be provided to consumers, either via the Department’s website or by hard copy if requested, regarding identity theft insurance.

Provides that the fact sheet shall include at a minimum, information on what is generally covered under identity theft insurance and on how to protect himself or herself from identity theft.
