ILCS 10/3 from Ch.

23, par.

2213 ILCS 10/5.7 new Amends the Child Care Act of 1969.

Requires every day care center, part day child care facility, day care home, and group day care home to annually conduct a minimum of 2 day care evacuation drills to address and prepare children enrolled in the day care facility and day care staff for fire incidents.

Provides that the drills shall be conducted in a manner prescribed by the Department of Children and Family services and that the days on which the drills are planned and subsequently carried out must be Department.

(a)Every Inday this Section, "day care evacuationcenter, drill"part meansday achild pre-plannedcare exercisefacility, conducted by a day care facilityhome, set forth in subsection (b) of this Section that addresses and preparesgroup both children enrolled in the day care facilityhome shall prepare and dayfollow carewritten staffplans for situationsimmediate thatresponse occurin whencase conditions outside of theemergency. day care facility are safer than inside the day care facility.
