and WHEREAS,anestimatedninehundredseventy-threethousandfamilycaregiversin Louisiana provide care to adult relatives or friends, with the economic value of this care estimated to be roughly six billion nine hundred million dollars annually;

and WHEREAS, almost ninetypercentofolderadultsninetypercentof older adults in Louisiana whowhoneedassistance need assistance with activities of daily living wish to remain in their homes and communities with the support of friends and family as they age;
