to prohibit the reporting of a debt for criminal fines or fees to a credit bureau or consumer reporting agency;
and to provide for related matters.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
Section 1.
R.S.
15:571.11(P) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
§571.11.
Dispositions of fines and forfeitures * * * P.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, a debt for a fine or conviction fee in criminal cases and prosecutions for violations of state law or parish ordinances, excluding violations of anytraffic law found in Title 32 of the LouisianaRevisedStatutesof1950ormunicipallaw,shallnotbereportedtoacredit bureau or consumer reporting agency.
