and WHEREAS, Acadiana's Red and White Day is a celebration of the region's unique identity,unitingcitizens,civicleaders,educators,businessidentity,unitingcitizens,civicleaders,educators,businessowners,andstudents owners,andstudentstopromoteto promote theinterestsandaccomplishmentsofAcadiana,highlightregionalpriorities,fosterdialogue betweenstatelawmakersandlocalstakeholders,andadvocateforcontinuedinvestmentand development in the region;

and WHEREAS, the universityhas an annual statewide economic impact of four billion fourhundredfour hundred million dollars, supportingsupportingmore more than forty-sevenforty-seventhousand thousand five hundred jobs, andforeveryonedollarinvestedinULLafayette,theuniversitygeneratessevendollarsand thirty cents in statewide economic impact;
