Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:

17:2112(B) and (C)(3) are hereby enacted" AMENDMENT NO.

4 On page 2, between lines 8 and 9, and insert the following:
17:440.4(C) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
"B.(1) Beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year, a qualified healthcareprofessionalwhoperformsaphysicalexaminationofastudent athleteshallincludeintheexaminationacardiovascularprescreeningthat follows nationally recognized, evidence-based guidelines recommended by theAmericanCollegeofCardiology,AmericanHeartAssociation,orother nationally recognized organization focused on evidence based cardiovascular care.
§440.4.
(2) A student athlete with a positive finding shall be referred for further evaluation and testing.
