957 Present law requires the sheriff who is proposing the transfer of the prisoner to notify the court that set bail for the prisoner at least 72 hours before the transfer occurs if the prisoner is not under sentence to the Dept.

of Public Safetyand Corrections (DPS&C).

Proposed law amends present law as follows:

(1) Requires that notice of the transfer be provided to the prosecutingauthority.

(2) Removes the requirement that notification be provided to the court at least 72 hours before the transfer.
