Southern University, Dillard University, Xavier University, Grambling State University, Southern University of New Orleans, McNeese State University, University of Louisiana at Monroe, Northwestern State University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana Tech University, the University of New Orleans, Nicholls State University, Louisiana State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, Loyola University, Centenary College, and Tulane University;

and WHEREAS, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity was originally chartered and incorporated as Kappa Alpha Nu on May 15, 1911, and the name was changed to Kappa Alpha Psi by a resolution offered and adopted at the Grand Chapter meeting in December 1914, which became effective April 15, 1915;

65 ENROLLED WHEREAS, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity was originally chartered and incorporated as Kappa Alpha Nu on May 15, 1911, and the name was changed to Kappa Alpha Psi by a resolution offered and adopted at the Grand Chapter meeting in December 1914, which became effective April 15, 1915;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana doesherebydesignateWednesday, April8,2026,as"KappaAlphaPsi Fraternity,Inc.Day" at the Louisiana State Capitol and does hereby extend its sincerest wishes that the organization continue to prosper in all of its endeavors for manyyears to come.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana doesherebydesignateWednesday,April8,2026,as "KappaAlphaPsiFraternity,Inc.Day" at the Louisiana State Capitol and does hereby extend its sincerest wishes that the organization continue to prosper in all of its endeavors for manyyears to come.
