It is the intent of the general assembly that each lease negotiated by the department of corrections with a private corporation for the purpose of providing private industry employment of inmates in a correctional institution shall prohibit the private corporation from utilizing inmate labor for partisan political purposes for any person seeking election to public office in this state and that a violation of this requirement shall result in a termination of the lease HF 2770.4265 (1) 91 -6- as/ns 6/20 agreement.
