BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:

WHEREAS November 10, 2025, signifies the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the United States Marine Corps;

and WHEREAS the United States Marine Corps originated at Tun Tavern in Philadelphia HCR006a -1- Enrolled HCR 6 New Text Underlined [DELETED TEXT BRACKETED] 34-LS0935\A on November 10, 1775, marking 250 years of service;

and WHEREAS this milestone reflects the United States Marine Corps'Corps's exceptional skill, leadership, bravery, and sacrifice in every major United States conflict, from the Revolutionary War to the Global War on Terrorism, including historic battles such as Trenton, Bladensburg, Veracruz, Antietam, Wake Island, Saipan, Inchon, Con Thien, Desert Storm, and Ramadi;
