ANS AMENDMENT TO HB486 1ST KITCHENS AMENDMENT TO HB486 OFFERED BY REPRESENTATIVE KITCHENS 2 4 Replace line 26 on page 1 with the following:
to add Section 41-9-338.4, Code of Alabama 1975, to exempt the commission from the public works competitive bid laws.
(a) The Alabama Women's Tribute Statue Commission is exempt 9 Replace lines 28 through 29 on page 1 with the following:

Section 41-9-338.4 is added to the Code of Alabama 1975, to read as follows:
§41-9-338.4 (a) The Alabama Women's Tribute Statue Commission is exempt from Chapter 2 of Title 39 for the purpose of procuring any contract to commission the creation and placement of statues or any works directly related to statues of Rosa Parks and Helen Keller on the grounds of the Capitol by artists or other individuals possessing a high degree of professional skill where the personality of the individual plays a decisive part.
