GP 1ST HARRISON AMENDMENT TO HB130 OFFERED BY REPRESENTATIVE HARRISON 2 4 Replace lines 11 through 12 on page 1 with the following:
to amend Section 16-40A-5, Code of Alabama 1975;
of Alabama 1975;
to prohibit certain classroom instruction in kindergarten through the eighth grade related to gender identity or sexual orientation in public K-12 schools;
to prohibit classroom instruction to students in kindergarten through eighth grade related to gender identity or sexual orientation in public K-12 schools and in any classroom or program of an entity that receives funds from the Education Trust Fund;
and to prohibit the display of certain flags and insignia in public K-12 schools.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:

This act shall become effective October 1, 2024.
