WARD, TRANSPORTATION, AS AMENDED, OCTOBER 29, 2019 AN ACT Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in fees, providing for reduced fee for veterans.
Amend Bill, page 1, lines 5 through 12, by striking out all of said lines and inserting Section 1.

Section 1901(b) and (c) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding paragraphs to read:
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1.
Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated <-- Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
§ 1936.
Reduced fee for veterans.
Notwithstanding section 1901(b)(4) (relating to exemption of persons, entities and vehicles from fees), a reduction in the registration fee for passenger car registration eligible to veterans with a disability shall be eligible to any veteran residing in this Commonwealth, regardless of disability status.
SECTION 1.
SECTION 1901(B) AND (C) OF TITLE 75 OF THE <-- PENNSYLVANIA CONSOLIDATED STATUTES ARE AMENDED BY ADDING PARAGRAPHS TO READ:
EXEMPTION OF PERSONS, ENTITIES AND VEHICLES FROM FEES.
Exemption of persons, entities and vehicles from fees.
* * * (B) TITLE AND REGISTRATION FEES.--NO FEE SHALL BE CHARGED FOR TITLING OR REGISTRATION OF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
* * * (b) Title and registration fees.--No fee shall be charged for titling or registration of any of the following:
* * * (6) VEHICLES REGISTERED TO AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES, INCLUDING A RESERVE COMPONENT OR THE NATIONAL GUARD, AND WHO WAS DISCHARGED OR RELEASED FROM SERVICE UNDER CONDITIONS OTHER THAN DISHONORABLE.
* * * (6) Vehicles registered to an individual who has served in the United States Armed Forces, including a reserve component or the National Guard, and who was discharged or released from service under conditions other than dishonorable.
(C) PROCESSING FEE IN LIEU OF REGISTRATION FEE.--NO REGISTRATION FEE SHALL BE CHARGED FOR VEHICLES REGISTERED BY ANY OF THE FOLLOWING BUT THE DEPARTMENT SHALL CHARGE A FEE OF $10 TO COVER THE COSTS OF PROCESSING FOR ISSUING OR RENEWING THE REGISTRATION:
(c) Processing fee in lieu of registration fee.--No registration fee shall be charged for vehicles registered by any of the following but the department shall charge a fee of $10 to cover the costs of processing for issuing or renewing the registration:
* * * (24) A PERSON WHO HAS SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES, INCLUDING A RESERVE COMPONENT OR THE NATIONAL GUARD, AND WHO WAS DISCHARGED OR RELEASED FROM SERVICE UNDER CONDITIONS OTHER THAN DISHONORABLE.
* * * (24) A person who has served in the United States Armed Forces, including a reserve component or the National Guard, and who was discharged or released from service under conditions other than dishonorable.
