Last month, in a letter to the City of Santa Monica, Congressional Representatives Ted Lieu (33rd) and Karen Bass (37th) endorsed a 7-point plan developed by airport foes that would effectively shut down Santa Monica Airport (SMO). Now they've arranged a meeting between Santa Monica Mayor McKeown and a representative of the FAA on Capital Hill in Washington, D.C on July 8th.
In response, the Santa Monica Airport Association is asking airport supporters to send a strongly worded letter to their representative.
